Alec Baldwin Files Lawsuit Over Fatal Rust Shooting

Published

on

Alec Baldwin has filed a lawsuit against multiple crew members over the fatal shooting on the set of “Rust” last year.
Baldwin fired the prop gun during a rehearsal on set in New Mexico in October 2021, killing cinematographer Halyna Hutchins.
The lawsuit names armorer Hannah Gutierrez-Reed, prop supplier Seth Kenney, prop master Sarah Zachry and first assistant director Dave Halls as defendants.
The lawsuit alleges negligence on the part of the defendants in allowing live ammunition to be loaded into the gun and declaring it safe to use.
Multiple lawsuits have been filed over the deadly shooting, some of which also name Baldwin as a defendant.
