“The Whale” starring Brendan Fraser received another enthusiastic standing ovation, this time at the London Film Festival on Tuesday.
In a video shared by Jack Aling for Escape Film Club, the 53-year-old actor stands on stage during the minutes-long standing ovation, and takes a deep bow. Director Darren Aronofsky and screenwriter Samuel D. Hunter joined him.
“I have never seen a standing ovation at London Film Festival but Brendan Fraser just blew the roof off,” Aling tweeted alongside the video.
“The Whale,” which follows a severely obese English teacher (Fraser) who is trying to reconnect with his estranged daughter (Sadie Sink), will arrive in theaters Dec. 9.
