Brendan Fraser won’t be going to the Golden Globes, even if his much-talked-about performance in The Whale earns him an acting nomination.
When asked by GQ if he would attend the event, which is scheduled for January 10, in a new cover article for the magazine’s Men of the Year issue, 53-year-old Fraser declared he will not participate.
The Mummy actor has alleged that former HFPA President Philip Berk sexually assaulted him during a luncheon at the Beverly Hills Hotel in the summer of 2003; Berk, 89, denies this allegation.
Fraser has claimed that he thinks part of the reason he was blacklisted in Hollywood was the fallout from the alleged incident.
