Julie Andrews likely wont return to play Queen Clarisse Renaldi in any further “Princess Diaries” sequels.
In an interview with Access Hollywood, the 87-year-old actress said, “I think we know that its probably not going to be possible.”
A possible “Princess Diaries 3” was “talked about very shortly after 2 came out, but its now how many years since then?”
“I am that much older and Annie the princess, or queen, is so much older,” Andrews said, referring to star Anne Hathaway.
The original “Princess Diaries” was released in 2001 when Hathaway was 18. “The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement,” was released soon after in 2004.
